Marvin Jemal is a landscape painter born in New York. The New York region was the preferred subject of his landscapes. He showed interest in painting since an early age. Jemal attended some classes, although he was basically self-taught.

Jemal’s artistry

When we look at Marvin Jemal’s paintings, we can see that he has a great talent for painting landscapes and seascapes. The painter spends a great part of his time painting outdoors. Jemal’s main goal as a painter is to capture the atmosphere in his paintings. His paintings also reflect the time of year that the picture was painted. For example, the way Jemal captures the green foliage in the fall, or the winter snow, everything in the painting is influenced by the season. Because of the season, the atmosphere that the painter tries to capture in the painting changes. The natural world changes from season to season and that is what the artist tries to capture.

Building a career

In order to become successful as an artist, Marvin Jemal had to face many difficulties. He had to make use of every spare moment to study art. Instead of spending his time with his family, Marvin Jemal had to study for his art education. He had to do this in order to become successful as an artist. During his first period as a painter, Jemal had to work hard to promote his work and gain the attention of other artists and critics. He was not a member of the New York Art League, and had no gallery representation. To become successful, Jemal had to promote his paintings by exhibiting his work at art galleries. When he first began showing his paintings, Jemal was not eager to commit himself to a gallery agreement. He showed his work at the New York Art Gallery, where he had his first exhibition. A few months later, he exhibited again at the same gallery.
